Re-Create Your Mind
Jun 28, 2024I want to welcome you to my new blog through my newsletter, “Empowering Thoughts.” I’ve recently shifted my YouTube content from twin flame material to posts about self-realization and self-actualization. The content is not new to me, but it’s new to my channel, and now I’m compelled to share my thoughts in a newsletter, in blog form, which I hope will inspire you to move more in the direction of your hopes and dreams.
The other day, I was walking through my local library when I saw a phrase in bold lettering across a conference room door that read, “Recreate Your Mind.” Upon seeing this phrase, I was left with two thoughts: one, libraries are certainly the place to re-create your mind, and two, “recreation” is a way to re-create the mind, but we tend to ignore this fact. But more on the second thought in another blog post.
Let’s stick with re-creating the mind.
The entire spiritual journey, whether through a twin flame connection or self-realization and self-actualization, is about recreating the mind.
To recreate the mind, we must give it new input. And if you’re working toward co-creating your life with a higher purpose, it’s essential to feed the mind with quality input.
Quality input might include reading inspiring books, listening to enlightening podcasts, or viewing educational videos. However, it’s important to note that when recreating your mind, you’re likely to be fragile. Old thoughts and patterns will surface even after months of training to align your mind with your new way of thinking.
Therefore, it’s crucial to guard your mind against invasive thoughts that go against your new way of thinking. This includes viewing negative posts on social media, paid advertisements, videos based on negativity or controversy, and even listening to people who speak about lower-level thinking.
And since we are surrounded by reasons to lower our vibrational frequency, this can be difficult to do. (Stop here with a “read more and find the solution button on email”)
In 1999, as I was healing from thyroid cancer, I read Dr. Andrew Weil’s book, 8 Weeks to Optimum Health. In that book, Dr. Weil suggests taking a rest from the news. In other words, he urged the reader to abstain from the news for eight weeks. What was the reason for this suggestion? The news is primarily negative and will give your mind reasons to be worried and concerned. As you re-create your mind, you will want to give your mind reasons to rejoice and appreciate life rather than fear it.
However, sometimes, it’s challenging to avoid negativity, especially with paid advertisements. One thing I do to combat this while running on the treadmill at the gym is to cover the screen of my cardio machine with a towel or T-shirt during the commercials. I have it down to a science now. After some practice I concluded that the commercials for the show I watch last three minutes and thirty seconds. So when the commercials come on, I cover the screen and set my timer. I feel much better doing this, so I’m not forced to watch lengthy ads pushing pharmaceuticals and fast food.
In whatever way you can, try to figure out how to guard your mind against negativity and lower vibrational thoughts while you’re recreating it.
I have found that recreating your mind can be fun. It’s like being in a unique bubble where you begin to see things in a very different way. As you start opening your awareness and appreciating the beauty, even in life’s challenges, it’s like holding a secret key.
With this secret key, you begin to notice how others are in constant turmoil, which reminds you of how far you’ve come.
Here are some suggestions to protect your mind while re-creating it:
- Abstain from the news and if you can, from social media. Try it for eight weeks.
- Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who are also on their way to self-empowerment and self-actualization.
- Only watch videos and movies that inspire you.
- Turn off the TV or computer at night. Some people like to sleep with the noise of the television while sleeping. Opt for a white noise machine instead.
- Abstain from conversations around politics or current events.
- Re-direct your attention to the present moment when you begin to obsess about the past or worry about the future.
- Finally, withhold information about your new journey with people who are not interested in self-empowerment. They might discourage you from your new path or give you reasons why it won’t work. Keep your mind clear from naysayers and skeptics.
After some time, you’ll notice that your new inner voice will take over your outdated mindset. Meanwhile, tune into more inspirational messages about becoming empowered through self-actualization and self-realization.
Namasté: I honor the light in you that is the same as the light in me and recognize that we are ONE.
Love, Michelle
